These Terms & Conditions apply to the website operated by Petterik Oy, Business ID FI31027281, registered in Finland ("we", "us", "our"). The website is a landing page for our fishing companion service and related support channels.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

This website is provided to give information about CatchCompass and to let visitors contact us through the support form or contact details shown on the site. Separate terms apply to the mobile app and related backend services.

You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• interfere with the website or try to gain unauthorised access to it;
• introduce malware, scripts or harmful code;
• use the support form for spam, harassment or unlawful content;
• copy, scrape or reuse website content except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

If you contact us through the support form, you must provide accurate contact details and must not send unlawful, infringing or abusive material. Do not send sensitive personal data or confidential third-party information through the support form unless it is strictly necessary for your request.

The website, its design, branding, text, graphics and other content are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the website for its intended purpose.

The website may contain links to app stores or other third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies or security practices.

We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

Any information on the website is provided for general information only. It is not legal, safety, fishing-permit, environmental or navigational advice. You are responsible for checking applicable fishing rules, permits, safety conditions and local laws.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, we provide the website "as is" and "as available", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not limit any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you stronger protection.

These Terms apply to the mobile application and related backend service operated by Petterik Oy, Business ID FI31027281, registered in Finland ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, downloading, accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your country if higher, to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the app.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless that activity resulted from our failure to maintain appropriate security.

The app lets users create accounts, save catch data, upload related content such as photos and notes, receive fishing forecasts, use AI-assisted fish detection and diary description features, and share eligible content with other users according to the app's sharing settings. Some features may rely on device permissions such as location, camera or photo-library access.

You keep ownership of the content you upload or create in the app, including catch records, notes and photos, subject to any rights that other people may have in that content.

To operate the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, format, display and distribute your content only to the extent needed to:

• provide the service to you;
• display content according to your chosen sharing settings;
• keep backups and maintain security;
• provide AI-assisted fish detection and diary description features when you choose to use them;
• investigate abuse, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.

This licence ends when the content is permanently deleted from the service, except to the extent limited retention is necessary for backups, legal obligations or legal claims.

If you choose to share a catch, photo, note or location with other users or publicly, that content may be viewed, copied, re-shared, screenshotted or otherwise used by other users within the limits of the service and applicable law. You are responsible for deciding what to share.

You must not:

• upload content you do not own or have permission to share;
• upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, threatening, hateful, defamatory, misleading or sexually explicit content;
• publish another person's personal data without a lawful basis or permission;
• harass, stalk, bully or impersonate other users;
• upload malware, spam or fraudulent content;
• scrape the service, reverse engineer it except where law permits, or bypass technical restrictions;
• use the service in a way that breaks fishing laws, permit rules, protected-area rules, private-property rules or safety rules.

We may review, restrict, remove or disable access to content, limit visibility, issue warnings, suspend features, or suspend or terminate accounts if we believe content or conduct breaches these Terms, our policies or applicable law. Users may report content or users through the tools or contact channels we provide. Where the service includes blocking tools, users may use them to block abusive users.

If we remove your content or suspend your account, we may tell you why and give you a route to challenge the decision, unless we are legally prevented from doing so or doing so would create a security or abuse risk.

The app is a digital companion tool, not a legal compliance service, navigational aid or emergency service. You are responsible for permits, protected species rules, catch limits, seasons, local restrictions, weather, water and ice safety, and the safe use of equipment.

The app, software, interface, branding and all non-user content are owned by us or licensed to us. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

We may release updates, bug fixes, security fixes and improvements. We may also change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, law, technical reasons or product development. If we make a material change that significantly reduces core functionality, we will give notice where required by law.

The service is currently offered without paid subscriptions or paid in-app features. If we introduce payments later, we will tell users clearly in advance and update these Terms and the store information as needed.

You may request deletion of your account through the in-app deletion path and, until a dedicated web deletion page is published, by contacting [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, abuse, unlawful conduct, security risks or where necessary to comply with law. Deleting an account does not stop us from retaining limited data where we must do so for legal, security, fraud-prevention or evidential reasons.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the accuracy of user-generated fishing information. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of opportunities, loss of goodwill or loss of data, except where applicable law says otherwise.

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not limit your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

If you downloaded the app through Apple's App Store or Google Play, your use of the app is also subject to the rules of that store to the extent they apply. Those store operators are not the seller of your catch content, community content or support relationship with us.
